Scrotox

What it is and what it addresses

Scrotox consists of the application of toxin to the cremaster muscle, located in the scrotal sac, with the aim of reducing its involuntary contraction.

Not all patients are ideal candidates. Part of our practice is to clearly explain when this procedure makes clinical sense for the particular case and when it does not.

Private consultation and procedure

Private consultation. Background, discomfort and expectations are reviewed before considering the procedure.

Honest explanation. The physician explains what the procedure can and cannot achieve in your specific case.

In-office application. A brief procedure, performed with careful technique by qualified medical staff.

Follow-up. The progress is reviewed in a period after the application.

Expected results. Relaxation of the cremaster muscle can translate into greater comfort and a more relaxed appearance of the area. Results vary according to individual anatomy and are not promised universally.

Effect duration. The effect of the toxin usually lasts between 3 and 4 months, after which the muscle gradually recovers its usual tone.

Recovery and care. It is an outpatient procedure with minimal recovery; most patients resume their activities the same day, with specific instructions for the first 24-48 hours.

Treatment information

Treatment description

Application of botulinum toxin to the skin of the scrotum. Its effect is the relaxation of the dartos muscle, responsible for the contraction and wrinkled appearance of the area.

It is consulted for reasons of appearance, for discomfort associated with contraction or for excessive sweating. It is an office procedure: it requires no operating room or general anesthesia.

Procedure duration

One office session. Topical anesthesia is applied and several microinjections are distributed according to each patient’s anatomy. You return home the same day.

Results duration

The effect of botulinum toxin is not immediate: it sets in progressively during the first weeks. It is temporary, since the muscle recovers its function over time.

Specific duration pending internal confirmation

Payment facilities
