The procedure consists of the infiltration of lipolytic enzymes directly into the submental fatty tissue, causing the gradual rupture of adipose cells, which the body eliminates naturally in the following weeks.
It is not a general weight-loss treatment: it acts locally on the stubborn fat under the chin that does not respond to diet or exercise.
Private consultation. The amount of localized fat is evaluated and whether the patient is a candidate is determined.
Plan design. The physician defines the number of sessions needed according to the area and volume to treat.
In-office application. The enzymes are infiltrated with topical anesthesia; the procedure lasts between 20 and 30 minutes.
Follow-up. Progress is reviewed in later sessions, spaced 4 to 6 weeks apart.
How many sessions are needed?
On average between 2 and 4 sessions, spaced 4 to 6 weeks, according to the volume to treat.
Does the application hurt?
Topical anesthesia is applied; the reported discomfort is mild, similar to a superficial puncture.
Is there recovery time?
Mild swelling may occur for 48-72 hours; most resume normal activities immediately.
Is the result permanent?
The eliminated fat cells do not return, although general weight care maintains the long-term result.
Are all men candidates?
No. The private consultation determines whether the amount and type of fat correspond to this procedure.
